After twenty years, the torture they endured and the sacrifices they made are still fresh on our minds. They will forever be remembered in our daily prayers. This video outlines the events leading up to 1984, starting from the partition through 1978. Priminister Nehru called Sikhs "a menace." From the very beginning, Sikhs have been treated unfairly. Men had their hands tied behind their backs with their turbans and were executed. The few Sikhs who were armed fought like lions keeping the fight raging on for a week. The army completely destroyed Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, the highest seat of temporal authority in Sikhi. Those Sikhs who promised to die defending darbar sahib kept that promise
