On 22nd Jan 2012, the Muslim Canadian Congress organized am appreciation event to Thank the Federal Minister of Citizenship & Immigration; Hon. Jason Kenney for the acceptance of the new Niqab / Veil Ban Law for Canadian Citizanship Oath Ceremonies through out the Country.
While some praised the Canadian Gov't for taking this step, some disagreed to the new law, some Protested and some condemned due to the "mocking of the Religion" by some MCC members.
